The Victorian Era through “1900 House”

by

A colleague of mine at FHS turned me on to the series “1900 House” that aired on PBS.  In this series, a modern British family lives the life of a Victorian family for a number of weeks.  It’s very interesting, but also fairly long and includes a tremendous amount of detail.

The Victorian Era as a concept is fairly nebulous and isn’t necessarily something that can be afforded a lot of time in the curriculum, but it’s interesting.  Can a DVD such as this one help?

It’s gotta be better than “From Hell” … though less Johnny Depp … ;-)
